WP1 Pedagogical framework
Project months: 1 – 36; Lead beneficiary: UT
The main objective of this work package is to specify the Go-Lab learning spaces (the online labs and learning environment as students will experience them) and a set of classroom inquiry scenarios that provide teachers with guidelines on how to use Go-Lab in the broader classroom setting including collaboration between students. The Go-Lab learning spaces include, next to the online labs, an inquiry processes structure, a selection and specification of cognitive scaffolds for each inquiry process, and a common Go-Lab experimentation interface that centers on the inquiry process structure. The overview of processes and scaffolds is domain and student level dependent. Scaffolds can be defined online as a part of the Go-Lab learning space or off-line as a teacher or peer activity. The use of Go-Lab learning spaces in the classroom is described in a set of concrete inquiry classroom scenarios. A curriculum analysis is performed in different countries to ensure that from the content and pedagogical approach point of view the Go-Lab approaches and solutions can be seamlessly integrated into the curriculum.
