ESA/GTTP Teacher Training Workshop 2014 – Call for applications

The 5th training workshop for science teachers organized by ESA and the Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP) will be held at the Lorentz Center @ Snellius in Leiden, Netherlands from 8th to 12th December 2014. The number of places is limited, applications will be accepted until 9:00 CEST October 13th, 2014. Participants will be selected based on the information provided in the online application form: http://www.lorentzcenter.nl/lc/web/2014/670/application.php3?wsid=670&venue=Snellius.

Participants of the workshop will get the chance to explore innovative ways to use space science and astronomy in the classroom to engage students in the sciences. The program will consist of active sessions and inspiring lectures given by ESA experts. Participants will also get the opportunity to network with their peers from across Europe.

The participation in the workshop is free of charge. Travel expenses will also be covered with up to 400 Euros per selected participant (reimbursement after the workshop). Participating teachers will be asked to become active partners by organizing at least two workshops for other teachers and promoting ESA educational resources as well as by completing several dissemination reports issued by ESA.
