High profile visitors at Go-Lab project booth

The Go-Lab project was represented with a booth at the Route 2020 event, 3 July 2013, Saarbrücken, Germany. IMC had been invited to present Go-Lab as an example of a successful research project in the current research program. Around 20 research projects were on the exhibition area that was well visited by the delegates. The event introduced the new EU research program Horizon 2020 to 200 delegates from companies and research institutes of the Saarland state, Germany. Among the speakers wereMs A. Kramp-Karrenbauer, prime minister of the state of Saarland, Dr. G. Schütte , state secretary federal ministry of research, and Herbert von Bose, Director, Industrial Technologies, DG Research & Innovation, European Commission. They later came to the Go-Lab booth where they were explained the project goal and approach. Notably the example of European school students using robotic telescopes raised their interest.
