In frame of the Go-Lab project, University of Deusto was organizing the workshop “Curiosity for science in the classroom: collaboration and sustainability” that took place in Bilbao, Spain, at 14th January 2014. The main task of this workshop was to show science teachers (from primary, middle and high schools) how to implement technology in their science classes.

During the first part of the workshop the teaching techniques - how to organize science experiments for 5-7 year old students based on the experience of hacKIDemia (http://www.hackidemia.com) - where presented. Game programming, displays and leds, strawberry DNA, vibrant music, dancing and robotic drones were a part of the demonstration. Mrs. Stefania Druga, founder of the hacKIDemia, has discussed a possibility of promoting her practice in Basque Country schools.

While Mrs. Druga’s target group were teachers of primary schools, the presentation of the Go-Lab project team, represented by Javier Garcia-Zubia, has illustrated advantages of the use of remote experiments in STEM and showed how to access Go-Lab educational resources for teaching science in secondary schools.
