Do your students claim to forget early after graduation what they’ve learned during school education? Do they argue that they are learning many unnecessary subjects in science? That they would like to change their science curriculum? Then participate in our new initiative “The Big Ideas of Science Challenge”!
You are invited to brainstorm with your students about how a science curriculum should look like to support effective and life-long learning. Find out together with your students which subjects are essential and necessary to learn and which issues are irrelevant and should be deleted out of the curriculum. In addition, figure out the appropriate methodology for linking different subjects in a meaningful way, so that your students understand their correlation.
You are welcome to submit your proposals! You just have to register your school filling out the registration form on the website of the challenge and let the students fill out the preliminary questionnaire there. You can find more information about the registration procedure and participation here.
