Two weeks ago, from July, 3rd – 8th, we held our Go-Lab Summer School 2016 in Attica, Greece, together with 40 great experienced Go-Lab teachers from different countries. The daily programme consisted of two main parts.
On the one hand, there were diverse presentations by representatives of our project partners about advanced techniques in creating Inquiry Learning Spaces in Graasp. For example, they showed how to configure inquiry apps based on the teachers’ needs and explained the use and benefits of learning analytics tools. And on the other hand, there were several high-level workshops, where the participants worked together in small groups of five persons developing their own ILSs. On the last day, the teachers presented their ILSs in front of the whole audience, where they got constructive reflection and feedback. After that, everyone received a certificate.
Besides the learning and working sessions, all participants of the Summer School 2016 did some cultural activities together to discover the cultural heritage of Greece. They visited the Cape Sounio (Sanctuary of Poseidon), the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis. Furthermore, they enjoyed a theatre performance called “Hunting the Ghost Particles” and listened to scientific monologues.
We hope that we could give you a great experience, deeper knowledge about the Go-Lab Project, lots of fun and new contacts joining this event. We thank all teachers, project partners, organisers and other persons who were involved and worked hard for celebrating such an amazing Summer School. We are proud to have become such a big community!
